EasyOut helps you split expenses and plan trips with friends. This policy explains exactly what the app stores, where it goes, and how to delete it. There is no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
EasyOut has no login screen. We never ask for your email address, a password, your phone number, or your real name. The first time you create or join a group, the app creates an anonymous account — a random identifier with no personal information attached — so your groups stay associated with your device. That identifier is the only thing linking you to your data.
Everything below is information you type into the app yourself:

When you scan a receipt, the photo is read and the line items are extracted entirely on your iPhone. The image is never uploaded, never stored on a server, and never sent to any third party. Only the amounts you confirm are saved, as ordinary expenses.
The camera and photo library permissions exist solely for this feature. Nothing else in the app uses them.
EasyOut does not track you. Your data is never used to build an advertising profile, never linked to data from other apps or websites, and never sold, rented, or shared with data brokers.
The people in your groups can see what's in those groups — that is the entire point of a shared expense list. Someone with a group's six-character join code can join that group and see its contents, so only share a code with people you intend to include.
Nobody outside your groups can see your data. Database access rules restrict every record to the members of the group it belongs to.
Group data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, Inc., which hosts the database on our behalf. Supabase acts only as our hosting provider and does not use your data for its own purposes. All traffic between the app and the database is encrypted in transit.
Supabase is the only third party involved. There are no other processors, SDKs, or integrations.
Groups are deleted automatically 30 days after the group's last day, along with all their expenses, members, flights, and hotels. You can also delete any group yourself at any time by swiping it in the group list.
Open Settings (the gear icon at the top right of the group list) and tap Delete Account.
This immediately and permanently deletes your anonymous account, together with every group where you are the only real user — including groups where you added other people by typing their names.
Groups that other people have joined with the app are kept, because the data belongs to them too. In those groups your entry stays on the shared list with the name you chose, so the others can still work out who owes what, but it is no longer connected to any account. Nothing is left that identifies you.
EasyOut is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Because the app has no login, everything stored about you is visible inside the app itself, and Delete Account removes it. If this policy changes materially, the effective date at the top will be updated and the revised version posted here.
