No. You can add people to a group by typing their names, and split expenses among them straight away. If someone does want to follow along on their own phone, share the group's six-character join code and they can join from the Join screen.
No. There's no sign-up, no email, and no password. The first time you create or join a group, EasyOut signs you in anonymously so your groups stay on your device.
Tap Join on the group list and enter the six-character code from whoever set the group up. If they already added you by name, you can claim that entry so your existing expenses carry over.
Open a group, add a meal expense, and tap Scan Receipt. Take a photo or pick one from your library, and EasyOut reads the line items so you can assign each dish to whoever ate it. The photo is processed entirely on your iPhone and is never uploaded.
Groups are deleted automatically 30 days after the group's last day, along with their expenses, to keep things tidy. Past groups show a countdown so you know when one is due to go.
Swipe left on it in the group list and tap the ✕. This removes it for everyone in the group and can't be undone.
Open Settings (the gear icon at the top right of the group list) and tap Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and every group where you're the only real user, including groups where you added people by typing their names. Groups other people joined with the app are kept so they can still settle up. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
No. EasyOut works out who owes what and the smallest set of payments that settles it. Paying each other back is up to you.
